When you are entering the field of HVAC, its important to understand the basics so thermocouples, thermopiles, and their related gas valves should be understood.

750MV Thermopile and 750MV gas valves are found in free standing non-powered appliances such as free standing heat stoves, some water heaters, and older floor furnaces.

30MV thermocouples are found in older cooktops, water heaters, and the 30MV combination gas valve is used in older gas furnaces prior to the to use of the intermittent pilot ignition gas valves.
